Here at Organic Babe we want to pass on as much information we can to help you make great choices including choosing safe baby toys.
Toys are one of the greatest gifts you can give as once baby is looking around and seeing things for the first time they grab onto what they can.
Here are some simple tips to help you:
Make sure the toys you give cannot fit inside their mouths – they must be at least 4cm long on all sides.
Choose organic baby toys as there are no pesticides, chemicals, dyes and safe on babies skin.
Never give toys with small parts. They are a choking risk if they come loose and are swallowed.
Never give anything that could break or splinter.
Never give your baby anything with sharp or pointy edges.
Beware of stuffed, furry or foam toys – check all the seams regularly so that you don’t get any of it in their mouths and choke.
Never give a toy with dangling ribbons, elastic or string long enough to wrap around their necks.
If you have older brothers and sisters, make sure you baby cannot get a hold of their toys if they have any of the above features.
Every new mum needs to know where they can get help once having a baby.
You will get advice from everyone and whilst they are trying to help and are excited to let you know their journey it doesnt necessarily mean its right for you!
